Dr. Nate Watson

Clinical Sleep Industry

Dr. Nate Watson is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Washington, Director of the Harborview Sleep Clinic, Co-Director of the UW Medicine Sleep Center, and former President of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

Nate is board certified in both neurology and sleep medicine. He actively researches and develops emerging technologies to unobtrusively measure sleep in patients’ home environments. Additional research interests focus on sleep duration and the effects of sleep curtailment on health. Dr. Watson is interested in the interplay between neurological disorders and sleep, as well as the relationship between sleep disorders and cancer.

He is a national spokesperson for sleep health and sleep related issues and a champion of public policy initiatives focused on fatigued drivers and school start times.
